Our Musical Theatre Academy is a non-competitive performance-based program designed to introduce and nurture the well-rounded musical theatre artist. Classes will include foundation techniques in all musical theatre styles of dance, singing, and acting. Students will work as a class on medleys and perform at our Year End Show. We also often get asked to perform in local events around our community and will ask our MTA classes if we can get enough volunteers from class to perform.

WHAT'S EXPECTED
Students in our Musical Theatre Academy are taken along an enriching performance-based training experience. Classes are structured and treated with a "cast" or "team" spirit and class materials are picked based on students enrolled in the program. Therefore, regular attendance and participation is crucial in everyone having the best experience possible! This class is designed for students who KNOW they want to perform and not for everyone! If your performer is uncertain what they want to do or would like to try out different styles of classes, we have plenty of individual classes that are perfect for students looking to get their feet wet before jumping into our Academy programs.

ATTENDANCE: Musical Theatre Academy students are expected to attend all scheduled weekly classes for the entire semester enrolled (1st semester October-December, 2nd semester January-May). Performance opportunities are optional but always a TON OF FUN! Conflict sheets for Academy classes will be given at the time of enrollment. Missing excessive classes leading up to a performance or showcase may result in the student not being able to perform or being removed from certain solos.
