But that flexibility can also make it harder to find the things young people still need: consistent community, meaningful structure, great mentors, and a place where they belong.

That’s why we’re creating Born to Perform Day Conservatory.

Two days each week, homeschool and charter students come together at BTPS to work, train, create, collaborate, and build friendships with other young artists.

It’s not another isolated enrichment class.

It’s a daytime creative community built around the whole student.

Their people.

WHAT HAPPENS AT DAY CONSERVATORY?

We’ve designed the day around four things we believe homeschool students — especially creative kids — benefit from having consistently in their week.

1. FOCUSED WORK + ACCOUNTABILITY

Students have dedicated time to work independently on assignments from their homeschool or charter program in a focused, productive environment.

We help provide:

• Routine

• Accountability

• Goal setting

• Time management

• A productive place to work alongside peers

Students remain responsible for completing the academic work assigned through their homeschool or charter program.

Born to Perform Studio does not replace a student’s homeschool curriculum or credentialed academic provider.

2. PERFORMING ARTS TRAINING

This is Born to Perform, after all.

Students will receive rotating training and performance experiences that may include:

• Musical Theatre

• Acting

• Vocal Performance

• Dance + Movement

• Acting Through Song

• Ensemble Training

• Audition Skills

• Performance Projects

The goal isn’t simply to keep students busy.

We want them actively developing as performers and artists.

3. ARTIST DEVELOPMENT

Young performers need more than another combination, scene, or song.

They need opportunities to discover who they are as artists and begin learning how to take ownership of their growth.

Artist Development Labs may explore:

• Audition preparation

• Repertoire

• Self-tape skills

• Goal setting

• Creative projects

• Industry education

• Leadership

• Collaboration

• Portfolio development

• Guest artists + workshops

• Passion projects

Some weeks may look like an audition lab.

Another might become a filmmaking project, guest workshop, performance project, or creative challenge.

That flexibility is part of the Conservatory experience.

4. COMMUNITY

And sometimes?

Kids just need other kids.

Time to eat lunch together.

Talk.

Create something ridiculous.

Work on an idea.

Share what they’re excited about.

Make friends with people who understand why they can talk about musical theatre for twenty minutes without realizing twenty minutes have passed.

Not every moment needs to be another formal class.

Community is part of the curriculum.

Auditions, self-tapes, repertoire, creative projects, industry education, leadership, guest artists, and more.

WRAP + REFLECTION

Finish projects, reflect on the day, establish next steps, and reset.

The exact order and focus of individual training blocks may change throughout the year based on projects, guest artists, student needs, and special opportunities.

WHO IS DAY CONSERVATORY FOR?

Day Conservatory may be a great fit for a homeschool or charter student who:

• Wants more consistent daytime interaction with peers

• Loves theatre, music, dance, filmmaking, or creative arts

• Benefits from structure and accountability

• Wants additional performing arts training

• Wants a creative community during the school week

• Is interested in BTPS training, productions, or Competition Team

• Wants opportunities to create beyond traditional classes

• Simply wants a place where being an artist feels normal

THEY DO NOT HAVE TO BE AN ADVANCED PERFORMER.

We’re not building a room where everyone has to prove they belong.

We’re looking for students who are curious, engaged, willing to participate, and excited to be part of the community.

HOW DAY CONSERVATORY CONNECTS TO BTPS

Day Conservatory can stand on its own — but students can also build a larger Born to Perform training pathway around it.

Depending on their goals, Conservatory students may also participate in:

• Evening classes

• Productions

• Competition Team

• Private lessons

• Advanced training

• Student Leadership

• Workshops + special events

For qualifying students, Day Conservatory may also satisfy an approved open-level training requirement within certain BTPS pathways.

Competition Team placement and advanced-level class placement remain separate and are based on audition, assessment, and studio approval.

THE FALL 2026 FOUNDING COHORT

We’re intentionally starting Day Conservatory differently.

We don’t need 50 students to begin.

We want the right first group.

Our Founding Cohort will help us establish the culture, traditions, projects, and rhythm of the program as it grows.

Starting smaller also gives us the opportunity to offer:

• More individualized attention

• Stronger mentorship

• A close-knit community

• More student input

• Flexible creative programming

• Programming shaped around the interests and needs of the actual students in the room

These students won’t simply be joining Day Conservatory.

They’ll be the group that helped us build it.

FOUNDING-YEAR TUITION

DAY CONSERVATORY

$395/MONTH

Includes the full Monday + Wednesday Day Conservatory program.

CURRENT ALL-IN / COMPETITION PACKAGE STUDENTS

$295/MONTH ADD-ON

Day Conservatory is designed as a two-day program, and students are expected to participate on both Mondays and Wednesdays.

Private lessons, productions, Competition Team event fees, travel, special ticketed workshops, field trips, and other optional activities are separate unless specifically stated otherwise.

CHARTER + HOMESCHOOL FUNDING

Some families may be able to use charter or homeschool enrichment funding toward eligible portions of Day Conservatory.

Approval and reimbursement policies vary by charter and educational provider.

Born to Perform Studio cannot guarantee that a specific charter will approve funding.

If you plan to use charter funding, simply tell us which program your student is enrolled with when completing the reservation form. Our team can then help you understand the next steps available through BTPS.

Because this is our inaugural year, we’re asking families who genuinely want Day Conservatory in their fall schedule to make a $100 Founding Cohort Reservation.

This allows us to move beyond an interest list and confirm the group of students we’re actually building the program around.

YOUR $100 RESERVATION:

✓ Holds your student’s place in the Founding Cohort

✓ Is applied directly toward your student’s first month of tuition when the cohort launches

✓ Is refunded in full if Born to Perform Studio determines that minimum enrollment has not been reached and we do not launch the Fall cohort

Once BTPS officially confirms the cohort and your family accepts your student’s place, the reservation becomes non-refundable and will be credited toward tuition.
